NO, I knew it wouldn't fit. Since we were discussing a road going vehicle I tended to focus on that. I DID assume it was for a rail though.

I see no where on the site information regarding transmission upgrades or cylinder heads for that matter.

thats built to be beat on all day in the sun your motor is already maxed out now it needs to be built... this one is at the low of its potential but upping the hp more will only make it non reliable ... call them ask what they do to motors they do really good work they wont advertise on the website but the will do motor, tranny work and such if you call. i think the cls is coming to an end and everyone here wants a different car and wishes they never bought this car... im going for a 2001 corvette .... and only for about 20,000 right now

Motor maxed out and needs built? He hasn't blown it up yet... how do we know it's maxed out? And I believe his car has 40,000 miles under boost! How is that not reliable?

I'm not done with mine and no regrets here either. Granted, the herd has thinned quite a bit but by no means is the CL-S over IMO.

Whatever happened to Mr. 489whp? Will the real Mr. 489WHP please stand up? I tend to think cl8trr is posing as superchargedcls, just a guess though....

The 489whp is a pipe-dream with a supercharger....

I think the stock motor can push 450-500whp without blowing up but I wouldn't boost that everyday - its asking for trouble.

My motor is fine... it probably is weaker now than a comparable NA motor with the same type of mileage; that's just part of the game. Even then with only I/H, I bet it will take nearly every N/A CL-S out there except for TypeR and probably some of the folks running 14.0's.

In any case the turbo comes off this weekend...

and i just got my car back after some more work being done. max boost pulley, ur crank pulley, thermoblock spacers and a new pair of headers. these cls's are the shit. I own three cars and i bust my ass to have them. 86' monte ss with a 434ci small block pushing 600rwhp but i cant drive it everday, then i have a 05' chrysler 300C and then there is my supercharged cls that i love to drive over any of my cars and is very reliable. i would never get rid of it!!!!

I wouldn't agree with this 100%. It would be harder but possible. But would take quite a bit of $$ and significant tuning. Running a MP90 or even the MP112 would have yielded even more power at the same boost levels. Or a centrifugal blower would give higher peak power with a sacrifice in the mid and low range.

IMO, not a pipe dream, just very costly and easier to get there with a turbo.

Don't be so sure. Remember, I had the blower on the car with HBP for more than a year than when you put on the turbo. When I pulled everything last fall and did a compression test; the numbers were perfect to my surprise. Yours may not have a measureable depreciation in power.

In any case the turbo comes off this weekend...
??? Why ???

^^ Cuz its sold

When I meant 489whp is not possible with a S/C... I meant the Comptech blower. You can make a S/C flow enough for even 1000hp

Just the kit....

It's too much power for FWD and while it was a lot of fun, reliable and just plain awesome - its time for it to go.

I am taking it as a challenge to put the car back to factory-condition. I don't plan on selling it within the next three years... too much of a hit to sell it and buy a new car. It's paid off and might as well enjoy it. Wifey's getting a Volvo S60 so I can keep the 2-door car for a little longer.

In any case I was getting bored and after losing to that Carrera GT I was going to build another block. After sleeping on that idea for a while... its just getting overboard. I don't need a 700hp FWD CL I might as well just keep this for a while... get a 4-door daily driver and then buy a nice play-car like the Noble M12... those are pretty awesome!

I hope you stay with the CL-S. Especially since you've probably got one of the top CL-S's as far as HP. You've built a beautiful machine.
