CLS 6sp VS. GSR civic w/ Video
raced a GSR swapped '96 EK civic coupe. From what I saw after he popped the hood he had i/h/e (AEM/DCSports/Mugen respectively), jg edelbrock intake manifold and iono what else. beta him by half a car length from a roll. I dunno why he didn't wanna race from a stop but oh well... one more win for me I guess...
I always thought a civic w/ a GSR swap could creep into low 14s or high 13s...

o yeah I forgot to mention I also had 3 ppl in the car and my uninstalled nitrous kit in the trunk as well as my spare and everything else... his car was proly pretty gutted... only him and his girl...

i ran against one at the track and lost the 1st time cuz i left my fuckin AC on and the 2nd time i won, but he was running 14.6's all day just like i was running 14.4's all day

Hopefully I'll have some video next spring with the 75 shot on my 6speed. I'll definitely post the videos if I do, at least pics. I'm thinking about getting "V8KILLR" as my license plate then!

Fastvteccl, that video is extremely dark. I don't know if anyone else has had a problem viewing it. I couldn't tell what car was who's. (i figured yours was ahead)

Safety Car
There are a LOT of build 1.8 to 2.0 liter DOHC VTEC motors in Civic HB's out there on the streets. Most run low 13's on street tires and a few are in teh mid 12's on street tires!!
You need about 195hp at the wheels on a 2100lb car to run 13.2's on street tires all day long. With 220 to 240hp at the wheels... you are hitting mid-to-low 12's all day long. During track day, these cars run 12.5 and 11.5 respectively.
