CLS 6MT vs. RSX 6-speed

I know it is hard to compare, but remove the luxury aspect which we all know the CLS wins in, and let's assume the new 6MT comes in around $30K ...

What are the aspects from a performance standpoint that can be compared? I am just MAYBE thinking I need to test drive one and see if a car that is probably $5-6K cheaper can make me happy. I have owner 2 GSR's (95 and 98) as well if you want to compare to that also.

Just thinking thru this to pass the time until Jan 3-4 I will not decide before then for sure. By the way - with the body kit and spoiler on the RSX Type S it looks pretty darn awesome !

The RSX-S may be about as fast as our CL-S (auto) 0-60 but there's a difference. You have to beat the shit out of the RSX to get any performance since it has no torque. Our engine makes it so effortless to move around in traffic and pass people. Torque is addictive.

I thought about doing what you said when the RSX first came out and the 6-Speed CL was still a rumor.

But then I came to my senses.
No buzzy 4cyl for me thank you.
And the interior of the CL is WORLDS better then the RSX.
No NAV is available either.

If $ is not an issue, I would go with the CL-S. The RSX is more abundant, and not as stylish IMO. Stock the CL-S is no slower, and the room and looks is superior.

Just go and test drive an RSX and you will anwer your own question.

There is just NO comparison. The RSX is a boy-racer car with no torque and very un-smooth compared to our car.

Pretty much anytime I go to my dealer for work one of the saleguys will throw me the keys to the RSX tester and you know what, I've only taken them ONE time. No need to go back!

Yeah - I think I will test drive one, but I imagine you are right ... torque is a wonderful thing!
