Clock lightbulb replacement

Anyone know how to replace the bulb on the Clock? Now that this is my daily driver It's becoming a huge nuissance.. now that I think about It, the light seems to be out on my climate control screen as well. Maybe there's a fuse out or something I'll have to test them all.

Those bulbs are always burnt out. Go to the 2gen TL DIY thread. There's a thread on it. You have to remove the gauge bezel. The bulb is a "neo wedge" bulb. I'm looking right now for one too.

Thanks gnuts love the Batman action figure!.. going over to the 2g tl side of this website makes me realize that they are much more active than we are!!! didn't realize there were so many steps I was just going to yank the clock out and hope for the best lol.. kind of hard to tell time in the dark, especially with how dark my windows are now tinted (redoing them soon due to the new NY law). I might just have the guys at geek squad replace it when they do my sound system in a few weeks. Seems like a PITA to get in there

The TL side is all repairs and maintenance. The CL side is more performance oriented.

You can get the dash out in 5 minutes. It's just 2 screws and undoing some wire clips. Did it yesterday with ImBroke.

Unless your screws are missing like mine were,, then it's less time.

It's really easy. Just follow the directions in the DIY to get the dash bezel out. And ignore the posts talking about getting some bulb from radio shack. Just go to the dealer. They are under $5 and plug and play.

Tip... If you're going to replace a burnt dash bulb then you should replace them all or as many as possible that way they won't take turns burning out one at a time.

Replace it with a LED. That is what I did with my clock and it has a nice blue appearance.

I just got white LEDs from Amazon. I just looked up Neo Wedge LEDs and there were lots. I didn't go blue because I didn't want part of the dash lights to be blue and some white. Tony I can throw one on the piece i'll send you.

I might do my whole dash blue.. Goes with the NHB color. Then again, I might do it and not like it, so go back to regular bulbs. I might not like the whiteness of LED either.. We'll see.

I have my entire interior in Blue LEDs. Here's some pics to see if you'd like it:

The camera kind of makes the light fuzzy, but in person they are very crisp.
I also wrote a mini DIY guide in that thread as well as which parts to buy.

Thanks for the link.. I like the blue. My radio is already set to blue, so that's one less thing to change.
