clearing lights on a lease?
hey, as im sure you all know by now, im gonna lease my CL. i was looking at my dad's today, and wondered if there was a way you could clear the lights w/o opening them up and voiding the lease. could you just somehow put chrome on the outside? just on the bottom strip where the yellow is, something you could take off later....like a chrome strip sticker.........just a thought. what do you think?

yeah-somebody that came to the last houston 'mini-meet' did just that-put some metallic tape over the stripe. it looked pretty good, too-it was on a black car. look for the meet pics, its the black car closest to the white car in the middle. can't remember exactly who it was--maybe laser1180-sorry i forgot. i'm sure they will post tho. make sure that you go for the 15K miles/year on the lease-you will want to drive this car A LOT!!!

do it, worst thing the dealer can make you do is put it back on. Personally though i think it looks better w/o it

actualy i just realized, my cars in pieces and i di dit to remove the orange so ill just have a pic of the headlight assembly thats sitting next to me. I have a crappy picture of it on my car cuz i never took a clean one in teh daytime. Im not sure how to post pics on this board so if you can help me post them Ill show you what it looks like.

yeah, I would like to know where you got the chrome sticker too. I was thinking about covering the amber strip on my TL.

I just went to a local Texas Art supply store and asked them for a sheet of mirror stirkcers. They took a while to find it but they had a huge sheet for 10 bucks.
