I'm new to this forum but have been reading about clearing the headlights. Just got my cl-s last week so I don't understand why this is necessary. Do they get fogged on the inside or something?

If done and sealed correctly then there should not be any fogging of the headlights...it gives the car a sportier,sleeker look...IMO..

To answer your question. Clearing the headlights has nothing to do with Fogging of the lamp assy. Basically people like to clear the nights (meaning they remove the orange reflector strip INSIDE the headlamp assy.) because it makes the car look nice and more Sleak. This is my theory on why people do it.

 

I have to agree with you jayru....I just finished clearing my headlights couple of hours ago....I will post the pics as soon as I know how to upload the pics here
