Clear bra

How many people have had the clear bra installed on their cars. I have had my car for 2 weeks and have already noticed a couple of chips in my paint.

I am just wondering if it is worth it.

For those of you that have had it done, Which pieces have you had installed. And if you Zaino the car is it noticeable where the material ends and the unprotected paint starts.

Thanks.

Mark

I have the Xpel kit for the hood and outside mirrors. You can't see it from 4-5 feet away. From a shorter distance, you have to look for it. It has been on for almost 2 years, got the car in June of 01.

I would do it again.

Here is some pics of my car with the Xpel on it.

Thanks for the pictures, this is really making me lean toward getting it for the hood and windows, and for only $100 it isn't a bad idea if it stops the chips. In the top picture you can see it but just barely, you really have to look for it

If you can get it for $100, tell us where. Last summer when I bought mine the dealer wanted $500 and the best I could get from an independent as around $400 -- some wanted more than the dealer.

The $100 would be just for the hood, If I wanted the bumper and headlights then it would be atleast $400.

Get it! I wish I had. I have 16K miles on my car and the hood looks like crap! Still arguing w/ Acura over who 's going to pay for the repaint.

I have it on my 03 6sp. I did the whole front face of the car, hood, bumper, head lights, mirrors, door handle cups and door sills (spelling). I think it's great. Cost me $700 bucks though. My previous car was a GSR and I used a half vinyl bra for 7 years. Vinyl bras are a pain in the ass so I thought I give the clear bra a try.

I am still not sure if I want to do the bumper, I not as sure that that is worth the extra 200+ bucks to do it, as it is plastic and is not likely to rust and it is much harder to see the chips on the strait up and down surface.

I did not do it to my bumpers, so far my bumper is OK. You may want to think about doing your lights though. I broke the lense to one of my foglights (I have a TL-S) and it was expensive to replace it. I'm think about doing my lights.
