I have two qeustions, should i use a differnt product or just not use the wipes, and is there any special way to clean the leather to everything is evenly on the leather. Also can i use leather cleaner to clean the dash???

I would never use armorall anything especially not wipes, I use lexol but there are other good brands out there too. The streaks will most likely go away when your seats dry, mine do. Takes about a day for my seats to fully absorb the cream.

That armorall crap is good for tires, & plastic. For leather get a good leather cleaner/conditioner. I use Zaino.

I have read so many bad things about Armorall over the years that I do not use it anymore. I have never experienced any problems but I am told that it will actually dry and crack leather and rubber. Too much bad stuff to discard.

Just be damn careful what you use. I forget who it was, but whatever he used, he applied it liberally, and it filled in EVERY HOLE in the leather. He had to go over every hole with a toothpick to get it out. I bet that was fun! If it were me, I would test a small area first.

I use turtle was leather cleaner and conditioner---1 bottle. The shit is kinda liquidy so it doesn't fill the little holes (had that problem w/ Meguires) and all u do is spray on and then wipe off...Shit works amazing and man does the leather feel soft afterwards. On the door panels and the dashboard I use mink oil for cleaning and conditioning...you can buy mink oil at leather stores or even the supermarket in the shoe polish isle.

I use Griot's Leather care exclusively. The results are totally awesome. The smell and feel of the leather is really good, and absolutely NO GREASY MESS if applied correctly! It also dries clear so the perforations wont get all clogged! I highly recommend Griots leather care to anyone. www.griotsgarage.com

Lexol Vinylex for the dash.

I use Lexol on all three of my leather cars, and it works very well. If you want, go to a horse saddlery (spell that right?) sight and you'll find Lexol sold in larger containers at a discounted price, and you can refil the smaller spray containers. Get the cleaner and conditioner (orange and brown bottles), apply every 3-4 weeks, and you'll have good looking leather for the life of the car. I had a Land Rover Disco for 7 years, bought new, and used Lexol on it every month. The seats when I sold it were in near showroom condition after 115K of driving, and after surviving 4 years of abuse through college, camping, and boat crap. Needless to say, I believe in Lexol leather products, you can't go wrong-

Has anyone used the Meguiar's leather wipes? What's your opinion on how they work?

any of those wipes can be ok for a quick clean up, but don't let them dry. Follow with a clean dry towel and buff the seats. That works well for between detailings with Eagle or Lexol ( depending on which is on sale!)

i've been using lexol for the past year and a half. it smells good and makes the leather soft. i have only one complaint. whenever the seats get wet, white streaks appear. i always have to wipe any moisture off the seats or the white streaks take a while to fade away...or unitl i reapply the lexol.

i just purchased the zaino "leather in a bottle". let me tell ya all...it freakin smells like my leather jacket. apllied it on the seats and the seats feel soft and smooth...like there's some kind of coating on it....yet it's dry. very easy to apply too. haven't gotten any water on it yet so i'm not sure how good it repels moisture or how effective it is in countering UV rays. but it sure damn smells good!!!

I used the Meguiars leather cleaner. Looks good. However, I applied a small amount of the conditioner to the seat, and most of it got into the perforations. Looked bad. I was able to blow it out of the holes using compressed air. No worse for the wear, but a pain.

I am looking into Griot's Garage leather conditioner. It is jaw droppingly expensive.

I alternate between Lexol & Lexol-pH Cleaner and 303 Protectant on the seats. The Lexol made the leather too soft. I was getting indentation marks in the seat.

Alternating solved the problem and provides UV protection. Lexol does not have any UV protection.

I use Vinylex on the dash. No glare, new car smell. 303 has a very little glare. 303 Protectant on the seats, tires, black trim, door molding.
