Cleaning the Filter

Hi everybody, I seen plenty of pictures of the AEM CAI. I saw the directions to clean it, look easy enough. I saw the directions to install it, i probably get a shop to do it. But I didn't see anybody mention how hard it is to get to the filter to clean. From wat it looks like it sits outside of the normal air intake hole, near the front wheel. Now how hard is it to remove to clean and wat will it involve. Thanks !
