Cleaning Armrest on the Doors

Ok here is my little problem, i love to use lexol vynl cleaner/protectant, it make the dash look so nice. It goes o easy and doesnt rub off. But when i but it on the armrests that are attached to our doors the lexol wipes right off, it looks really good on them but the moment i touch the arm rest it just wipes off and then i see the ugly dull material. Anyone know if there is anything out there that would work on the crappy material the armrests are made out of?

Its wierd cause every other surface is fine, just the stupid armrest!!!

Try the 303 AEROSPACE PROTECTANT it works 100% better than Lexol on our cars.
I switched last year to 303 after using Lexol for many years. I had better quality leather in my 1994 ACCORD EX than in the 2000TL I have now. I had the leather put in the ACCORD EX when the car was brand new because it was one of the first ones sold by the dealer. They had just redesigned the ACCORD that year & I got mine early but it did not get an EX with leather. I wanted a 5speed EX RED 4DR ACCORD & they did not know when another one would be in like that. They had a luxury car place that did high end cars do the job on my ACCORD. It cost me $1,600 for the leather in that car. Te leather was better than the ACCORDS that came from the factory. I used Lexol in that car for 6yrs. I got my 2000TL in late 99 & used Lexol until last year. Many guys on TL.COM & here on CL.COM used the 303. I gave 303 protectant a try last year & the guys were correct it works wonders. Our cars do not have much leather & alot of it is vinyl. The 303 is for leather, vinyl, rubber, plastic. It works better & last much longer than the Lexol. I use it on the dash, seats, inside trim around doors, all around steering wheel leather & on armrest. This stuff is not greasy at all works wonders & last long you need the 303 PROTECTANT. Many TL & CL guys use this product on our cars & many switched from Lexol. Click www.303products.com

Not much real leather in our cars as the 303 says its for leather also. I have Ebony interior in my car & the 303 works better on our seats. If I had a leather sofa or chair I would use the Lexol but the 303 is the way to go for the car.

I never trusted vinyl dressings on leather. Totally different materials, one is from oil in the ground, and one is from the back of a live (or dead) animal.. I use 303 on the dash, it's alright, kind of uneven sometimes which I don't like. I guess I could try the 303 on the seats, it is cheap leather anyway.

If you read the 303 bottle it says for leather also I find it works better than Lexol.
The bottle says not to use on unfinished leathers like suede but you can use on furniture, jackets, golf bags, hand bags.

I use 303 on all my leather shoes. Makes them look like they are brand new.

I have parchment interior and lexol serves me just fine, but I can imagine on the Ebony interiors how there would be trouble.

I prefer it dull looking...My goal it to keep my interior looking like the day I bought it...absolutely no shine at all.

I think he meant that most of the interior is not leather, only the seating surfaces, the parts you contact when sitting, Not sure if the sides of the seats, headrests are leather or not. I think the door inserts are.

Our leather is top coated leather and 303 works perfectly for it and is designed for such use.

For non top coated leather (like Connolly) you do need to clean and condition.

OK, but probably adds little benefit since little is absorbed through the top coat.
