i was wonder how i would clean my aem cai air filter...i used the search and i found something about a k&n cleaner/recharge kit...what do they mean by "recharge"...and how long does this process take...i figure since i'm a gimp and can't drive for the time being..i imght as well clean it now while i'm not using my ride...

 

basically you take it out/ wash the filter w/ water and then 'recharge' it by reoiling the filter.

 

yeah... i need to clean all the smoke\ash from the fires out of mine too. by the way, i grew up in corona. right by river rd and lincoln.

 

The process doesn't take that long. Maybe 1/2 hour, but I have done it and started driving within 5 mins from the time i washed the filter with no problem.
