I am thinking about a CL-P or Accord EX V6 coupe. Which car rides and handles better and is more fun to drive. I've heard the CL-P is firmer and transmits more road vibration to the driver and the accord is a bit more loosely sprung so it is smoother.
What about road noise too?

i wouldn't say that...
they actually got the same suspension, so ride quality should be about the same.
you should look at this from this perspective....
its a difference of about 8 grand (w/navi)
so just do a comparison of what you get...
and give them a test drive. the price difference is kinda big, so the decision should come easy.

Can't comment on the EX V6 coupe, but my wife has a '98 EX V6 sedan and the only comment I have is the transmission sucks. Not sure if the newer ones have 5 speed autos yet, but hers is a 4 speed auto and has a nasty habit of hunting for gears. It never seems to be in the gear you want it to be. And when you want to punch it there is this lag until finally it kicks in. When it does kick in it is so sudden. Not a very smooth transmission in my opinion.
Transmission aside, it rides and handles very well. Road noise is fairly quiet. But I'm sure the CL is quieter on the road.

You can probably get an '02 CL-S for about $26k (about the sticker on an Accord V6)....so I imagine the CL-P would be quite cheaper...that is assuming you really don't need the new taillights and other aesthetic goodies the '03 has to offer...

My friend has a new Accord V6, the interior looks cheaper than the CL, CL seems more luxurious. Fitment seems tighter on CL,
and on high speed - 100mph+, the CL feels more stable, better touring car...

I test drove the AV6 before i got my CLS. The only thing I can say about it is that you can see for crap in the accord. Visibility isnt all that good in the accord compared to the CL.

A friend of mine has the v6 accord coupe. It is a very nice car.
If you are tossed between the CLP and the Accord, the main differences are:
- The CLP has sport shift, the Accord does not.
- The leather in the CLP is much much better, and they are heated.
- A touch more power in the CLP.
- More interior room in the CLP.
Both cars have 6cd in-dash, both have dial-a-temp climate control, both have sun-roof, both have 2 doors.......

and don't forget that the accord V6 still only has a 4-speed tranny compared to the CL's 5-speed
Suzuka Master
