!!!!!!!!CL Type S Mods...Turbo, Intercoolers, THE WORKS!!!!!!

Whats up people...
I am strongly considering buying a CL type S.
The only thing I would really like though, is to take the acceleration to about 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds. I was wondering, if any of you had a CL with any really performance enhancing mods. I know comptech has a few, like headers, but those all add very little. If you dont have one, would you know where to find mods like that? Also, did they have any bodywork available for the CL yet? One last thing, I know from reading all the FAQs, that most of you have teh COMPTECH prerformance parts. I would consider buying those, if someone could go over them and let me know how much power each upgrade does...like hp, and if you saw a big performance difference...(WHAT THE HELL IS A "CAI")??? Thanks a lot for all your help.

Ummm, yeah. Why don't you stop now and just go buy a Z06. It's a FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CAR! Do you have any idea as to the sheer amount of ridiculous torque steer a 3500+ lb. FWD car would have in order to hit 0-60 in 4.5s?

I guess you guys are right. A 4.5 second 0-60 time is crazy. There is one person on this forum who claims a 5.7 time. Anyways...one person on the forum has a pic of a TYPE-S with skirt, front spoiler, and rear skirt (bottom spoiler) do you know if thats fake or not, and does anyone know where you can get ground effects for the TYPE-S?

do it all day long in an m3/zo6 and have a factory warranty to boot. in the end the modded cls will cost the same, last half as long, never handle as well or look as good! think about it the zo6 has 125 more hp and weighs 400 pounds, is rear wheel drive, with tires/traction that are a fanasy for a cls. im not saying it isnt possible, but why and afterwards how much would it be worth?

That could of been me, have actually seen 5.67. But that was in frigid conditions where no mag testing normally takes place. In closer to normal testing, say 60 - 70 degrees F that time would probably be in the 6.0 range. More in line with what one would expect with intake and headers and those conditions.

A standard 4.5 run in normal conditions would be substantial. Yes, it could be done but why not (as mentioend) buy a car that does it, and has a warranty.

Heck, slamming a 4.5 in a Z06 wouldn't be a easy feat for most drivers. I would guess that most would be running 5.0 or close.

nobody seems to be anwsering your question....there is no body kit yet...we are all waiting on it and have been waiting for a while now...the blue cl with a body kit you might have seen was specially made by acura for a aftermarket show...acura has not gone through with production of it...but damn we all wish they would....CAI dont swallow water unless your driving through a flooded area so that the filter is submerged in it...a bypass valve is available that prevents water from getting into the engine if for whatever reason you should ever do that...

Wow! I weigh 1/4 of the weight of your car! J/K, I know what you meant (400 lbs. less)

Get a TL-S. Torque sensitive steering. =)
The more torque that gets applied, the higher
the powersteering boost to reduce torque steer.

What, pray tell, does steering boost have to do with torque steer?

oh, and I'll second everyone's opinion on the Z06. Except it's closer to 4 seconds with a good launch Much more cost effective too! (well, except that my tire life looks like it's going to be measured in months rather than thousands of miles )
