CL surviver in the Eastern Rain Storm!! Question..

I am sure a lot of you guys who live in the Eastern part of the States were going through some crazy weather as I did.

So, man there were Floods everywhere on main roads to little streets.

I came across a lot of cars being stuck in the floods with their emergency lights on.

I had to cross a big flooded road, and the water was at least a foot deep, and a honda accord was all ready stuck in the water.

Somehow my CL made it through, maybe the 20" rims helped me a little.

My question, how much damage are you looking at after the water runs into your exhausts and etc?

The damage occurs when water enters the cylinder and on the next compression stroke the engine attempts to squeeze it -- boom -- remember from physics class you cannot compress water. A gasket, valve, head, block....something will give.

I remember Ravi mentioning that it happened to him...but did not blow the engine. It was a good freak out though.
