I'd guess it's just a matter of build and tune? Even putting 2 identical cars that rolled off the line one after another with 2 equal drivers at the same weight will yeild different results. I had a '93 SHO that was the fastest automatic in stock form ever. 14.89 when others couldn't break 15.5 from the factory no matter how much they tried.

With those mods, both your HP should be about equal. You shift 3 times and he only had to shift twice to 100mph. If an auto jump on you in 1st gear, it is hard to chase an auto down even with manual trans. Who called the start? Did you have a passenger and full tank of gas? If you were head to head in first gear and the auto pulled on you in second or third then I will inspect the car. If he pulled away everytime you shift, then you need to shift faster. If he jumped on you in first then RE-RACE!

I'll be using my stock clutch for now though, although I would probably get a stage 3/4 kit with their flywheel.

Another obvious question but you never know. Are you using premium or regular gas? Can obviously make a huge difference. Also I know a lot of people run Seafoam through their IM and it seems to work good. I don't have any personal experience with it but might be worth a shot.

I know this may be a dumb question.. but is a clutch job any harder once the supercharger is in? I already will install that torque damper before the supercharger goes in, but what about the clutch?

Yeah, I am still throwing the P0172 rich code. I am replacing the spark plugs, so I guess I can replace the coil packs as well. I will inspect them first. Where is the best place to buy coil packs?

Hey guys,
I noticed one thing wrong when I am under WOT.
My RPMs seem to rise inconsistently, not smoothly, but stop and go stop and go Under VTEC, I can feel it pulling then stopping then pulling and stopping (happens very fast)
Could this be a sign of my clutch slipping or misfiring?

Take the car to redline, and don't question doing it. Even though you could be making less peak HP at 6800 than at 6100, the difference in max HP gain is what counts if you have headers on a high rev'er like ours. The headers also help straighten out the drop in both HP and TQ near redline. If between those rpms the WHP drops 10, yet you gain 30, aren't you still +20?
To answer that question yes comptech dynos have shown 25-30 WHP gain from headers.
Check OBDII and clutch for sure. I know before I put a new clutch on my legend the rpms jumped up crazily and would catch/let loose/catch/let loose.

i have NO IDEA what you're talking about. you want to be at max TORQUE. hp is fairly irrelevant if there's no torque. and you are not gaining 30hp at every RPM, it's a peak point where you gain it over stock. this again is irrelevant if you are making less torque than if you shifted into another rpm range giving you more torque.

Torque and horsepower act mutually on eachother. Torque helps get you going and Horsepower keeps you going. My Dad has a old school Dodge Ram turbodiesel with 400lb ft torque, does this mean it is necessarily going to be faster than my CL? No because believe it or not, it only has 160HP to go along with that torque. It is 0-60 in maybe 9 seconds. If you check on some of the newest trucks out, you'll see alot of them are 300+HP in even the base models. I'm not sure about why a S/C CL was used for comparison when I was speaking of only headers (and "mufflers" apparently), but take a look at this dyno...
http://comptechusa.web01.yourhost.co...000CLSplot.pdf
Try and find a similarly trannied/modded (both with headers would be ideal) CL in your area and have a couple highway runs. You stay between 3500-5500 to have your max torque and have the other person take it to redline, let us know who wins...
Or if you don't want to be quite as silly, shift at 6100 so that your out of VTEC in the next gear and at max torque, and let us know how it goes.

says "hello to my TLX".
i just saw this thread (haven't spent much time in 2G CL land recently).
Samir. i don't know if you've fixed or cleared the codes by now but, if you want, you can have our SD mechanic check it out for you. PM me to see when you may be available to go so that i can tag along since i too have something for him to look at.
