I must be getting old.

I've fucked with everyone within the CL-S's range and beat 95% of em'. I've beaten cars like a Dodge Magnum, Porsche Boxster, Acura RDX, Pontiac Solstice GXP, and yadda, yadda, yadda.

This morning I'm minding my own business on the way to work and this dude in a fucking Hyundai Sonata--A motherfucking Hyundai Sonata--starts tailgating the hell out of me. Okay. So I speed up to 80. He's still on my ass like we're hooked together by a tow chain.

Okay--so, I decide to pull a maneuver. I downshift once and pass three cars up ahead. He pulls the same stunt and takes his position once again sitting on my bumper like an annoying tick.

I downshift to 3rd and pull away--only this time I keep pulling. He's right behind me trying his damnedest to keep up but this time he slowly drifts away cause' he can't keep up. We--well, actually, I take a 55mph curve at 115mph. I look in my rearview mirror at the Sonata and this dude is wobbling like all four of his wheels and his rack and pinion was about to fall off.

I'm sorry fellas but I seem to be running into a dry spell lately. Oh, I've run into a few guys that will play around 90 to 100mph but no one with any nerve lately to go beyond. Not that the Sonata had a chance in hell.

I couldn't tell whether it was a V6 or a 4 banger but it was a mid 2000's body style.

 

I can guarantee you it would be a real race. I don't make mistakes. I'm not one of those clowns that will fuck up a shift or chicken out at a certain speed and pretend like safety was more important. If highway conditions allow I'm pushing all the way to 145mph.

 

I live my life 10 seconds at a time! Well... actually it's more like 14.9 seconds at a time. Haha

Chances are it was the V6 version. My wife has an 08 sonata with the 4 cyl and would in no way even somewhat keep pace with my 01 cl-s. The V6's are pretty underpowered for what they are but I've also never driven one or been up against one (strictly going off of reviews). And it wouldn't have been a 2.0T....those aren't out yet. I believe they're coming out next year.

those 3.3L sonatas can haul ass and they have sub 7 sec 0-60 times and can do at least 140.....

110 in a 55 on a turn..I wouild say be careful out there but you obviously know what you are doing and when the adraneline kicks in ..................
