I'd put my money on the CL-S lol...

 

with all those mods celica gts would have 195 HP (the base is 180HP i believe for gts), and couldn't even win rsx type-s yet. even though it's light, but still has low torque. I would say CLS will walk Celica GTS. correct me if i'm wrong.

 

It also only has 130ft-lbs of torque. The Celica would get eaten up like if our car was racing an M3. Thats pretty much what the difference is.

Just because it has a mountain of a spoiler in the back, doesnt make it fast.

 

is the GTS a 6speed? if so it will be very close and the GTS would probally win

 

Highly doubt it, I smoked one...I was stock at the time, and automatic. He had a few mods and manual, he lost badly and gave the CL-S props...I even gave the dude a head start. Now for some reason I lose to everyone else.

I think it's a drivers race. These car's are under rated and react VERY well to aftermarket intakes and exhaust. Remember this is the retuned engine in the Lotus Elise. They don't personally do anything for me, but my friend used to have a 99 GT-S 6 speed w/ an AEM CAI and that thing was very fast. Like I said, drivers race if you know how to launch and drive the 6 speed right. Check it out:
