it was a 98 or 99(im pretty sure)
anyways-here it is:
i pull up to a light here in jacksonville on sat night and this white, lowered 3000gt pulls up next to me and keeps gazing over. he had some nice rims and intake/exhaust from what i could hear and see. i knew what he was thinking but my radar was flashing and by no means will i speed, let alone race if cops are around.
the light turns green and neither of us gun it, but the 3000gt pulls off a little bit quicker. we drive near eachother for a while until i decide its safe and there is no traffic in front of us or cops around.

from a 45 roll he hits it and i hit it a split second later.
at first he was doing well and staying barely out front(considering he got the jump) but by the time we reached about 95mph i had at least 2-3 cars on him.
i shut it down at 95mph and he pulled up next to me smiling. seemed like a nice guy.

i drive a 2001 cl-s, bone stock, i used no slush shifting or gate shifting-just hit the pedal in d5.

i believe that 3kgt to be the SL version then. yes? the VR4 def has the quickness

def. not the vr4....
it was debadged, but most certainly was the sl version.
those vr4's are hard to come by.

yeah my friend has a vr4 twin turbo 3000gt and I raced my bone stock cls against it. I got my ass handed to me pretty hard.

I was riding close behind a VR4 the other day and as he floored it to get away so did I. Had to come off the gas a bit otherwise I would have nudged him from behind.
