Hey guys...just thought you might wanna hear a good laugh. This weekend my dad and I were driving to upstate NY. I drive a brand new CL-s, (with all the mods and toys) and my dad drives a 911 Turbo in speed yellow. (by the way, next week, i am getting my car painted the same color as my dads yellow porsche...ill post pics as soon as i get it back from the shop). So anyway, we were driving along, and I decided, what the hell..lets have a little race. So it was like 4 in the morning, with no other cars on the road. So we stop on the highway for a sec, and GO! First of all people...let me tell you, before my CL can react to the fact that I jammed my gas pedal, my dad was already like 5 car lengths ahead. After about a few more seconds, his car was about 20 car lengths ahead, and as soon as I hit 4th gear, i lost him. Needless to say, i got a bigger smoking than castros cigar. But hey, it was all fun and games. And by the way, to the shmucks who claimed they beat a TURBO, you cant beat a turbo if it was racing you reverse. Same goes for the M5. And to people who think they burned a 540, You couldnt burn a 540 if i gave you matches and gasoline. That car with a half decent driver, will have no problem smokin a CL. Guys dont get me wrong, i love our cars...thats why i got the CL, but at least i understand where to draw the line. And that line is a 330Ci

Sounds about right to me, the 911 does 0-60 in something like 4 1/2 seconds...if I remember the article correctly. That's one of the baddest rides on the road, your Pops is a lucky guy! Have you driven it yet?

He he...i drove my dads turbo a few times. Too much car for me...I have to make an effort to keep the car UNDER 70. Its does 0-60 in like 3.8
By the way man, your dads 740 will smoke you just nice. LOL. Dont worry though...we CL'ers gotta pick on someone my own size. I dont even care about beating a particular car. I car about those losers who think they are all that, and have nothing. Like the other night. I was driving down the highway at 3:30 in the morning. Roads are empty. Then this punk in a Z24 cavalier just cuts in front of me, puts on his hazards, and took off. I was with my girl, and I was like...who the fuck does this little piece of shit think he is. I downshift, and fly. I zoomed by his ass, honked like crazy and took of. He got a good whiff of my exaust. If only i had nitro, i would have flamed his hood. I hate punks. Have you noticed, or maybee its just me here in NY, that the most punk ass drivers are those of IS300's? They piss me off. But its ok, they all get a healthy helping of a royal smoking. :-)

you should make him start in 2nd or 3rd gear -- now that's handicaping

Note---> you could buy a few tons of lead bar and start soldering them to the bottom of his car and try again when you have added about a ton of weight to his car. just be sure to keep his tires inflated to max pressure

hahahah.... If i do that to his car...hell take off the weights, tie me to the car by a cable, and show me how fast it goes from 0-190. Ill be dead meat anotherwords. LOL...Mercury...good shit...where in queens...thats the phatest neighberhood. I live in the city. Guys wanna know something, my dad let me take the prosche out for one night...so I let my friend take my CL, and we decided to race. BUT...i raced him with the turbo in REVERSE....untill 20mph, the turbo was in the lead, and then after, the CL blew by. DAMN, that 996 TT is fast. So as we can see...the only way a CLS can beat a 996, is if its goin backwards..he he
