Yep you heard me right...but don't think I had a chance. He would leave me in a sec.
For people familiar with Ohio I-71 runs up and down Ohio through Columbus down to Cincinatti. Well last Sunday morning I am in Columbus heading south on 71 right outside the 270 loop. I am in the fast lane going about 75 ish and pass a group of cars in the slow lane. Well right in the middle of them is a brand new GTR. After I pick my jaw up off the floor I continue to go by him really slow. As soon as I pass by he sees that I am staring at his car. He then shoots out and is right behind me. I then get in the slow lane so he can pass and he does very slowly. By this time we are crusing together about 80ish. We were side by side for a while and the guy driving was cool I gave him a thumbs up and of course he just smiles because he knows his car is the sh*t. Anyways we start to get into some traffic and he starts cutting in and out of traffic and I follow right behind him. It then open's up and is wide open road his acceleration is amazing. He takes it up to 120ish and I try to follow. I don't think he was on it all the way because my car was straining but was keeping up with him fine. He then slowed back down to 80ish and we cruised together for the remaining 40 miles until my exit. I took a couple phone pics before I got off my exit and went our seperate ways. It made the drive alot more fun rolling w/ a GTR. Esp. a guy that was cool about it. I had alot or respect for the GTR and it grew even more w/ seeing one and driving next to one. No doubt they are amazingly fast / sharp cars.

Amazing cars....glad they brought them back.....can't wait to see one on the road. He probably never really hammered on it (480 hp!)........but still a nice experience.

Yea I wouldn't doubt that he did. He pulled away really easily and it didn't sound like he even opened it up. I seen were someone dynoed the GTR and said Nissian underated that engine. They said it was actually closer to 514ish hp.

Nissan is known for underrating their supercars. The R-32 thru r-34 skylines were supposedly spitting out 276 horse, it was actually more like the 330 to 350 range. They do this because in japan there is a legal limit to the hp a car can produce from the factory.

Well even though my car is older its still a lowered coupe and IMO looks pretty new from the inexperienced car enthuasist eyes. Remember we are in Ohio. CL-S are pretty rare. You mostly only see chevy & ford POS's around here.
Also since your putting down my CL-S he must have paid attention to it because its a coupe and not a grocery getter TL . Just messing. I know your TL-S will blow me away.

I guess he was testing me plus he could tell I wanted to roll fast with him.
If I had a SC and every bolt on I might have gave him a run for his money if you think as power vs weight ratio. But I'd have to be around 350-400 hp for that...ha ha

Hey, you might be able to take one from a dig because they break after 15 launches. But even if it couldn't launch it would still blow our doors off.

But look it up, people are having their GTR's tranny breaking after only about 15 launches.

hmm...I googled GTR tranny problems and couldn't find anything.
????

I would hope Nissian covers the cost if a brand new car tranny (Esp. at GTR) goes out.
