CL-S AT v RX8

Heading northbound on Pine Island a silver RX8 passed and cut closely in front of me without signaling. As it is commonly known that south florida drivers are the most obnxious and least skilled in the US if not in the Western Hemisphere I ignored it. I noted that it had tinted plates and appeared to have an aftermaket exhaust. The Mazda then slowed down and waited for me to return the favor. As I pulled alongside he took off. With the advantage of suprise he initially had me by a couple of cars. I started realing him in immediately and when the Vtec cylced in I passed him faster than you can say "vroom vroom". Of course when slowing down for oncomng traffic the RX kept it nailed and weaved in and out and was gone.

Must have been an AT model as it was a very easy kill. I understand the row it yourselfers have more HP. They are pretty sharp looking cars though I have to admit.

Nice kill. The RX-7 has more balls than the RX-8, it's a shame...

yea u should destroy them...I got headers and intake. I wonder how stock vs stock would be.

How big of a difference was there when you got a pully and what brand did you go with? That is going to be my next upgrade.

I think it may be close for a bit. RX-8 may get the hole shot if he dumped it pretty high but those motors may very little torque. Assuming both cars were standard CL-S 6MT v RX-8 man. the CL-S would walk by and beat the RX-8 by quite a bit. RX-8's run 15.2 stock quarter or around there.

The UR pulley made a nice difference. Good for an easy 5HP.

Rx8 is a dog. No power till past 5K RPM. Very high power band. That car is not a fast straight line car. It's strength is handling.
