CL-S A/T vs 03 Audi TT VR6 AWD & Mazda Protege MP3
My 2002 Acura CL-S is stock except for headers and a ghetto air box mod(removing my intake resonator)
2003-2004 Audi TT 3.2 AWD completely stock.
-First run from a light we roll off to about 5-10mph and then both gun it at the same time. I pull on him like crazy...thought he was the 1.8t. He said he upshifted too soon with the paddle shifters
-Second run, from another light. He pulls on me out of the hole 3/4 car with AWD and is only 1/2 car ahead by 65mph.
-Last run we decide to gun it from 35mph b/c he has to get up ahead. Up till 70mph I am 1/4 car ahead...
He must have been a ****ty driver or headers really helped my car b/c Audi TT 3.2 VR6 n/a runs around 14.2-14.5 1/4 mile stock
The second race was my friends Mazda Protege MP3 with CAI, Headers, full exhaust(no cat or resonator), royal purple oil(lol), flywheel, and it was a manual tranny. He was also lowered, had aftermarket motor mounts, and some other stuff.
I thought it would put up a decent fight even though it was a 4-banger...it was loud as fuck and reminded me of a first gen WRX. It looked fast, but was SLOW.
-From a dig I pulled 3-4 cars by second gear and shut down.
-From a 50 roll I pulled 3-4 cars
-from a 70mph roll at the bottom of 3rd gear I pulled about 3 cars to 100mph
I'm not exaggerating the lengths either...it was that slow. I know they only have 140hp stock, but thought they were much faster cause they look like they'de be light.

the Protege MP3 has 140hp. big surprise.
pre 2003 TT did NOT come with a 3.2L V6. It was either a 1.8L lifted from the Jetta with 180HP or a more powerful 225HP version of the 1.8T. So it's 2004 or newer. either way, with 250hp and quattro, he should have walked you.
