I can OBJECTIVELY state that my good buds CL-S (and we RACE ALL THE TIME) 0-60 I am ahead 1/2 to 1 car length and it expands as we move on.....
Stock for Stock .. the gs400 should walk the CLS by 1.5 to 2 cars 0-60..... BUT this thread was started over a STOCK GS400 runing a suspectedly MODIFIED CLS.. Do the math ... i run 5.5 - 5.7 doesnt leave you a whole lot of room for error does it?

well, personally i love the gs430 or 400, but i do play or toy with lots of cars on 95 or even on the reglular roads. its fun to play, even if u cant win, but i havent raced a GS yet, but i bet it be a great fight, i love puttin the petal to the medal, and shavin the grass on peoples ass. i love beatin maximas, accords, intergras, and bimmers especially, but that guy must have had some mods to rock the GS400 that way, especially since the guy saod the trunck went down, as if the car was rear whelled, which we arent, or HAS NOS. EITHER WAY, a kill is a kill, and for now, i hace a cl-s, and i will spank any car on teh road.

Are you serious??????? why do you think most of the people bought these cars? performance/nearlux at an unbeatable price.... i am willing to put money down that says most CL/TL owners that like the performance part of the package arent going to go from a 14.8 sec car to a 14.5 sec car for 15-20k more.... i am willing to bet that most are going to be smart and go from a 14.8 sec car to a 13.1-13.3 sec car...///M3 (or something along those lines)...

he had custom accord CAI,header,exhasut,v-afc,spring and always used the shift from gear 1. not SS, not d5

yah i agree....Stock GS430 is fast... but 1/4 mile under 14? um.. i dont think so eh.. maybe mid or low 14.. but not under 14... at least not a STOCK ONE...

The 430 does not have what I use most of E-shift! This let's me manually select my gears on the steering wheel. I love this and wish more cars had it. I like being able to shift and not having to take my hand off the steering wheel....

GS 430 does have 15 more lbs torque, 325 at around 5500 rpm....

Actually the GS4 can be made faster than the vaulted M3...but that's not it's competition is it...it's actually the 540i which it competes with and gives a fair beating to...

Kavex, Lexus is waiting for the E-class to drop, then new 5 series to drop Stateside. The date is getting pushed farther and farther back. Was supposed to be 2003, now 2004 maybe 2005 for an ALL NEW model.

I don't think engine displacement will be upped but a factory L-tuned model is Very Possible!

Look man, first off maybe it was a gs300 false flaggin like all those retards in the civics and integraswith the type-r emblems. Second off, they paid 12 grand more because they liked the car as well as it was kinda fast, cl-s aren't god or the fastest cars in the world, though they are cool. A gs 400 in faster straight up, now your gonna tell me a cl-s with passengers beat it. Either the guy didn't know how to drive or there was something wrong with the car. And who cares how much the car was, I go to the races in san diego and see b16 hatchback's that cost two grand blow away ss's and supras and everything else on the road. I saw a hatchback blow away a rt10 viper. That my friend is a kill story.

 

We know the GS400 is faster in the 1/4...maybe if you bothered to read the rest of the replies to the post you would see what my reasoning is on the matter...and if you have not driven both...your commentary is very useless.
