CL-P with CAI+headers+exhaust=about 260 HP...does it compare to a CL-S???
To clarify what I mean by my topic, I was just wondering if a CL-P with CAI/H/E (approximately 260 HP) "feels" and performs as well as a CL Type S? Has anyone with the aforementioned CL-P ever raced a stock CL-S? I was just wondering because I obviously own a CL-P and I am contemplating what the results of my modded car will be. On top of that, if a stock CL-P and CL-S went head to head, how bad would the CL-P lose? (Specifically)
Peace, another sad CL-P owner...

in my opinion, if your goign to spend the money on mods, just go with a type s, i regret not getting one, so i decided not to really mod out on performance mods, instead just get exterior mods to make it look nice.

Mugen Power, I have beaten a CLS off the line but most likely he was running a stock CLS either that or its cuz all stock tires are completely horrible. Mods taht I have done that I wouldnt recommend is just the sway bars because they benefit teh CLS alot more than the CLP; however the strut bar is supposedly alot better for the CLP than the CLS. I Dont fully understand why, but thats just the way it is i guess. Hope that helps.

well a stock CL-P is 0.5 sec slower than stock CL-S. I knew this guy with a CLP with CAI/Headers/Exhaust and beated a stock CLS off the line by like half a car.
BrianCL - i have to disagree with u, for someone that has a very high insurance, its better to get a CLP and mod it so they will save on insurance instead of getting a CLS. I know for me at least, the type S would raise my insurance by about $1500 a year. So if you do the math, 1st year u r paying $3500+ for the type S($2k for the type S and 1500 for insurance), then $1500 for every year after that. You could do alot of mods with that kind of money. Thats why i went with the P.

I doubt you'll have the low end of the CLS and chances are,
you won't be making 260. 250 I think would be more reasonable.
Besides, having a CLS adds more than just power. As for
insurance, check for yourself. Everyones insurance costs are
VERY different. My TLS, ofcourse 4 doors helps, is 80 bucks a
month.
I personally am never in favor of making a lower end model
match the higher end model. Just get the high end model.
Just my opinion though.
