Question CL owners, Have you discovered condensation in your head lights?

Hello, I just bought a 03 CL-S from a non acura dealer. I noticed that one of the headlights had condensation in it. ( After I already bought the car. Go figure!) In the other headlight it was starting show the same thing too. Good thing that for one I'm still under the bumper to bumper warranty from where I bought the car from. Two I still have a year for the basic warrany from acura. I brought the vehicle to acura and they replaced both headlight cylinders along with the lights. Just thought I share and see if anyone has had any problems like that.

I have had that problem on my previous car and I'm pretty sure it was caused from the seal around the lamp module going bad. Ill be sure to keep an eye on it while my warranty is still valid though.

My passenger side head lamp is all covered in moisture. If you can't get a dealership to replace 'em, you just drill a very small hole in the housing to allow the moisture to escape.

I don't have actual condensation, but a haze that looks like the crap that builds up on the inside of the windshield.

does anyone know how to get rid of it short of taking everything apart?

you dont have to drill a hole, just remove the high beam bulb for a while, that should help the moisture escape, but eventually the moisture will came back and will have to be dealt with.

Thanks for the tips. I have some condensation, but I haven't had a chance to do anything about it. What it bee too much of a problem if I just leave it alone? It seems to go away when the sun comes out. I don't think the condensation will get anywhere close to the lamp

When I asked about that at the dealer - they told me it was just how they functioned and nothing could be done. Norris Acura in MD sucks!

I had the same problem with my '03 CLS. The dealer replaced both headlights, igniters, ect. under warranty.

My 01 has this on the passenger side light. My plan is to remove the high beam bulb then go in with a qtip (or something longer) and try to wipe it clean.
