CL as a daily driver.......
Guys, I just finally came to a realization. I reallllllly like my car! I mean, the tranny issue sucks, but other then that I dont have any more issues. Dope interior, navi RULES, and the car is alot quicker then most cars on the road...... Anyways, I just hope I dont have to replace my tranny again.............
I was seriously looking at replacing my car these past few weeks.... Getting a 911 (non-turbo) or a 2002+ M3. Anyways, whatever car I wanted I figured I would need another one as a daily driver, because of the chicago weather, plus I didnt want to drive the new car to work everyday........
So my new plan is to keep the CL.....the depreciation sux, and I already put so much money into it! Why get rid of it now and lose so much money?? In a few years I'll get something better but I won't trade in the CL. Rather, I'll keep it as my daily commuter car...........

Synth, that is what i decided as well. What kills me more than anything is not having the stick. But, if i keep this as a daily driver i guess it will be better as an auto anyway. In a couple of years (maybe next year) i will get my summer car and i can beat the fuck out of that thing

This is good... We'll still have a few CLs at the Chicago meets.

I bought my CLS to use as a daily driver. I have a 20something year old VW bus (summer/fair weater car), so I need something that is dependable as my primary vehicle.
I've been dying to buy and old aircooled porsche (my VW is a german aircooled vehicle too), and almost bought an old 911. I just couldn't justify having a 1980's 911, a 79 bus, and a 94 tbird as my only vehicles. If I was going to own an maintain 2 vintage aircooled cars, I figured that I had to be sure that my daily driver was rock solid.
Once I pay off the CLS, I figure it'll still have alot of life left in her to be the daily driver/winter car, while I indulge myself with a true sportscar.
I figured that the CLS was the best of both worlds. It's a quick sports cars, that's well suited for the daily grind too. So while I save for my 911 (or a 'vette - early C5 prices are dropping), I can still ride is style in my CLS.
