CL CRASH, one of our own.
In case any of you don't visit the ramblings section, revolver, one of our members accidentally lost control of his car, flipped, and totalled. The passenger was killed and he is ok (I think) at least good enough to post a note to all of us.
I don't know about the rest of you but this was an extremely sobering moment for me, as I sat here upgrading my PC to XP, to hit the board for a second and read such a thing.

I can only imagine the guilt revolver must feel thinking he was somehow or in some way responsible for the life of his passenger.
That has to be a very tough thing to deal with.

First I gotta say that I hope Revolver can get back in a car and drive. I was driving home today and everytime I pass where I had my accident I think about it. I am pretty sure that many of us have been damn near what happen to him and just got lucky to avoid it without ever realizing it. Hopefully this will remind us what can happen. I was driving home tonight and realized that I hadn't been to the 100+ territory since my accident. Maybe I'll make it back there in the next few weeks.
Also, I'm always curious of how our cars (and cars in general) respond to trauma. Has anyone seen his car? I think it'd be nice to see how his car handled the accident. However, I don't think that Revolver could handle the emotions involved in getting pics. Anyone else interested in seeing the car? (btw, as I am a doctor, my colleagues and I meet once/month to discuss all the failures in surgery and sometimes it does get quite difficlt to deal w/ the issues so I am aware of the emotions attached with Revolver even seeing another CL much less his own.)
Revolver, I gather you are quite young as you said you were with your folks. How are you holding up? Remember, even though most of us have never met, we are all here for you if you need advice, support, or just an ear. I imagine that with the diversity on this board, we have at least a few lawyers, doctors, etc. if you need any of them.

My condolenses as well. I drove like an idiot today with my girlfriend in the car, trying to keep up with my brother. It's hard enough only seeing her once a month, I can't imagine what it would be like if i was the cause of her death. I just got home from dropping her off at the airport, I feel like crying now after reading this. I'm such an idiot each time I speed, and endager somebody else's life. My most sincere wishes to Revelor and that everything works out as best as it possibly can.

Holy Sh!t... if you're still around the board Revolver, my thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, as well as those others involved.
I always feel bad when I read about the accidents posted on these boards, but it really hits home when it's one of our own....

What a miserable situation.
I dont trust much of anything I read on the Internet, but if that is true - I cant believe that guy wasnt wearing a seatbelt going 100 in a 45. But, I geuss I feel sorry for him anyway... I mean, he wasnt the one driving.
So the driver is getting charged? Talk about salt in the wounds. I wonder if he'll still drive like that with 2 other people in his car.
Good Luck revolver. I hope everything works out.
