This whole ethic thing kills me and many others. You have something to hold onto, gripe about and/or charish. Heck, the most I know I am Scottish/French/German/Italian/American Indian/ and a bit or other cultures mixed in.

The 6-speed is quite popular with Sicilians too. Must be either the underhood vino or simply that Real Sicilians are as drawn to it as Real Men are to the 6-speed.

So yes, Asian people do get Acuras and Hondas, but that's not all they get! Then again, everyone gets Acuras and Hondas simply because the car's price and value...
About the CL being an Asian car...I don't think it is...Granted, I am Asian, but every other CL driver I've seen is not. 3 other people at my school drive CLs, and they are more white than anything, so no...CL drivers are not all Asian...

Unlike most cars, I feel the CL is a really hard car to stereotype. Some people go for value, some for the performance, some the luxury and others image. IMO, this is a silly (but some what funny) thread. It doesn't matter who drives it, as long as u like it it's all cool.
P.S. I hear most women CL drivers have implants. it was in the last Style mag.

I'm Indian. I got it for a lot of reasons, bang for the buck, I like Honda/Acura. I don't know anyone else with a CL, Indian or otherwise, so I can't make much of a statement on Asians in general.

In Atlanta, mostly black and white people. I have never seen an Asian here in any CL, 1st or 2nd gen..

yes, it's an asian car
I'd put the figure at about 65% asian ownership. 20% hispanic, 10% white, 5% black. not too many yuppie types are into acura/honda. lexus does better with the whities. but asians don't discriminate. i've seen many in lexus, benz, bmw. anything they can show off. but for some reason, the acura styling and image doesn't light the white man's fire it seems.

but elsewhere... I see more mid-aged white folks both men and women driving CL Type S more than asian kids in SF and Sacto.
No offense Red Rider or Hammerman.
Oh and won't forget our latino homy AztecRol. The token latino CL driver in the bay area.

Where I live the CL and TL drivers are mainly 30+ caucasian.
OTOH, Acura and Honda driving Asians are abundant. Without sounding racist, that's one reason among others that I didn't buy a Honcura. I find a lot of these drivers annoying. I might be generalizing but they can be spoiled brats. I am Asian myself and I find a lot of us are showoffs. We spend way too much $ and time on cars, and often the mods turn out to be too showy. In the gym I see a lot of them showing of nice pipes, but often their arms are bigger than their chicken legs :-) Mom would like me to marry a Chinese girl but i find them spoiled too. However, I do know of a couple that are really nice ladies, and not superficial etc.

Anyway, it's not about who does the work, it's who gets the pleasure of controlling and shifting the car. An MTX makes even driving for groceries a little more fun, and taking it out on a country road simply sinful. It's simply one of life's little pleasures that I had to give up for nearly 25 years and am so elated to have back.
