Cigarette Lighter

Yea, so I got a new radar detector for x-mas, and when I went to plug it in to test it out, I noticed the power outlet wasnt working. I recently had my Pioneer Avic-D2 Navi unit installed....Could that have anything to do with the power outlet not working?? Also, I tried the outlet in the center console and it worked fine and checked the fuse boxes, but didnt know which one was for the outlet, so I just replaced the radio one but still didnt work. Do you think its a fuse or the actual outlet itself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thankss!!~

the cig lighter might have been disconnected to do the install of the radio. quite possibly may have forgotten to plug it back in during the put back.

make sure your key is turned forward. the 12v outlet only works when the car is on.

If the console works, then the system is fine. They are connected in series on the same fused link. So it's likely the front outlet was not re-attached. Go back to where your HU was installed & complain it was working when you went in & wasn't after you left. Show them the console works & tell them they are connected. They should open your dash back up to make sure it's connected.
