What are your thoughts on the car? went and checked em out today and i must say that its hot. Almost wanna trade the Type S in for it. Its definately a head turner and no one really has em yet. Who would do it?

NO power......
There was a Test Drive of it on Speedvision. Wasn't impressive at all for the driving.
Nice look, but something like 210 HP.....
CL-S is much nicer.....but if you want to get rid of the CL-S and go with that look, the 350Z, G35, etc would be a better place to put your money, IMO

I made the mistake of purchasing a Sebring. It was a p/o/s sled. I had sooooo many problems that it wasn't funny. The service department at two different dealerships were awful, and the regional service manager was even worse. I got the most scathing letter from some VP over the issues I was having, and they were adamant their service was fine for the situation (my car was in the shop over 45 days in the first 120 of owning it). It took one brief letter on an attornies letterhead and the lemoned it completely and without further argument. I was so pi$$ed.
My dad bought a loaded Grand Cherokee that has had nothing but drivetrain problems from day one and the same service issues...
I'd never recommend Chrysler to anyone.

Yea im not a big fan of Chrysler either but i really like the look of the Crossfire, does need more power. I got into a convo with the kid that worked there and he has an 03 A4 1.8 chipped and turbo'd and said he cant beat his boy's TLS with Comptech headers, exaust and intake.

I've seen a couple on the road... That pop up spoiler looks sooooo CHEAP! Reminded me of a pop up trash can lid.
The front looks nasty IMO. I'm not sure I like the new front facia of the upcomign Chrystlers. The back looks cool, but that rear window is too small. I'd be willing to bet you can't see shit if you were inside!

uhhhhhh.... why is that a surprise?
your talking a stock 1.8T 4 cylinder engine with nothing but a chip versus a 3.2 6 cylinder with i/h/e
of course the j32 will win.
but... the 1.8T can be modded to fuck. the j32a2 gets up to a supercharger and thats it. the 1.8t the mods just never end.
but... the j32 maintains driveability at max performance... the 1.8t doesnt.
so it all depends what your into... either way the comparison should be no surprise

yeah, i mean it only has the drivetrain, engine, and suspension from the CLK Mercedes.....
And we all know those cars are POS's......
This might be the start of the Mercedes influence in Chrysler. The build quality may still be an issue, but I think this is the start of something over at Chrysler

I think the lines of the crossfire are just unreal. It's just a shame they don't throw a big hemi in it. But I bet they'll smarten up soon enough!

It's not a Chrysler, it's a Benz. This is one of the first cars to roll out that is using the MB parts. The other cars will follow. The only drawback's I think it has is the power. I'm sure it will be upped depending on if it sells, & the price tag. People need to get over the fact that it has a Chrysler name on it, even if 85% of the car is from MB parts. I have driven one. Oh & that pop up spolier can be locked so it's in the down, or up position all the time.

it still has a chrysler badge. and it will still be repaired by chrysler service monkeys.
like it or leave it "85%" of the people who buy a 30k+ car CARE about image. chrysler's brand image simply does not carry much APPEAL. expecially for such an expensive vehicle.
but yes i agree its much more benz then chrysler. but unfortunately... it's lacking Mercedes SERVICE and that beautiful tri-star.
