Check engine, and VSA, Traction control
I finally cleared up the problem with my Wife's check engine light.
Replaced the plug, and coil in the #1 cylinder, where the code were reporting a misfire.
At the same time as the check engine light has been on, the VSA and Traction control light have been on also.
Now that I cleared the code and replaced the plug and coil, the VSA and traction lights are gone out also!
How are they interconnected?
Why did the misfire cause them to be on also?
Thanks.

It happened on My Lex IS300,...I had misfiring caused my SRT intake, I replaced with OEM intake and Removed all the chips installed on the Computer system and all the Bish were Gone...may be it interfere with the Engine Braking system...I really didnt bother asking many QNs...
goodLuck tho,
R.

when there's a problem with the engine affecting performance/efficiency, the VSA (which includes traction control) goes off because engine is running on low-power fuel maps to limit the possible damages.
