"Check Engine" idjit light.

Twas driving for 25 miles today when a growl appeared in my belly.
So I pulled into Micky D's drive-thru for some hotcakes and muffins with jelly.

Awaiting and eating so scrumptious a meal did but quickly to come to an end.
Delight turned to nausea and all this because of the message the CLS did send.

I shifted from Park into Auto D5 as routinely as on many a day.
Yet it was easy to see that something was wrong as I headed for the open highway.

Quick was the shock, total the horror as immediately I filled up with fright.
How could I have know my good feelings would go after seeing that one shining light.

Out went Low Oil Pressure, out went Charging System Indicator, out too went Anti-lock light.
Dark went VSA Activation, dark went Brake Lamp indicator and also went dim Seatbelt Reminder light.

But what to my wonderous eyes should appear still burning clear and bright?
Twas that damned bright yellow "Check Engine" emissions warning system idiot light!

Ok sorry for the dopey poem and I apologize to those with larger tranny problems but has this happened to anyone? The Check Engine light has been on for three days now. I've checked the fuel cap without any result and I've made an appt. with Park Ave. this Thursday. (Providing they will be ready for repairs because I heard they had a little problem in the garage area. Jens, Wayne and boys I'm hoping your all fine).
