Changing oil ( Mobil One) and STP FI Super concentrated cleaner does make a diffrence

Starting my 30k miles service project:

I changed the engine oil ( from Mobil one to Mobil one at 5000 miles) with the Purolator PureOne Filter and added a black bottle of ($2.88) STP FI Super concentrated cleaner to the fuel tank and I felt a Big Difference.....

First, mobil one contributed to better and quicker cold starts...
I believe, the STP FI cleaner let CLS rev faster and cruiser smoother at 80-85 MPH.... now a light push on the accelator pedal will get me from 50-55 to 80-85 smoothly...

Oh did I say that I have some 225 Miles on just half a tank or some 28 MPG (usually I get 150 miles to 175 miles on a half tank or 20-23 MPG)

Next is CAI Filter Cleaning and Recharging,

Still, "ATF rpetetive road flush" to follow..and Maybe new Spark plugs ( Bosh PLatinum +4 or NGK/Denso Irdium )

Good maintenance philosophy! Hot Rod, March 2002. has interesting article on crate motor buildup. Final mod was Royal Purple 5-30 oil. 7hp and 10lbs. increase! Keep up the hard work!

Yesterday, Did the CAI filter cleaning and Oil recharging...
The filter was dirty with dust and sand like particles....no leafs or anything like that...

Everything went smoothly, I found out the filter metalic strap was lose... It took like 2hrs with natural drying..

I took it for a spin, and I went for a rolling start at 40MPH dropped in 2nd in SS... heavy right foot.... and can I say a Whip lash... or neck snaping acceration

Now I can enjoy and hear the distinct switch at 3800 rpm and 48000 rpms..

Put a smile on face. Next are the spark plugs.

I would say: "The best mod you can buy is regualar Tune ups"

I guess royal purple and rel line ( especially ATF ) are best you can buy... But I say they way overpriced and non available locally.

Totally agreed! I had my oil changed at the 5000 mile interval, along with an engine flush. The dealer put some kind of oil conditioner into the oil as well.

All I can say is my 1/4 mile time dropped by.2 sec!!!! WTF! I ain't complaining!
