Anybody have a CF hood for their CL?

I am thinking about getting one but dunno where to get one and not sure if it will look good....i kinda wanna get a custom one done with a hood swelling kinda like the M3 hood...what do you guys think?

They do make them.

Get one that looks stock and paint it. I think the unpainted CF look detracts from the class of the CL.

vis hoods are low quality CF

 

i have a tl-s actually and it's the one pictured with flo jalin on the opening page. i think cf hoods look good on a lot of car colors as long as you get your style down. paint (full or partial) and tinted clearcoat would look very nice too...mine is tinted blue to match abp and add the "wow" factor as you walk up to the car.

well, both oe tuning hoods are about 13 lbs. i currently do not use hood pins and it's been fine. some buffetting every now and then when the condition is right. however, you should use hood pins for your own safety and that of the car. i tried to help out with a group buy a couple of months ago but no one committed...it was priced in the mid 500s. the company is currently not contemplating stocking up on the hoods because there has not been any interest. the tl hoods were better and a couple have been sold. i currently still have the one demo cl hood and the sale is pending. i guess if a group of you are interested, i can talk it over with the owner and see what he can do.

Plus $120 for shipping and that's $507 total.

 

shipping is always a killer due to the size of the hood and cost of the box...unless you are local and wanna pickup. the demo hood is priced around $400 because one of the hinge screw holes does not line up perfectly.

 

my car is in the shop gettin painted, it will be done either wednesday, or by sunday, im in the bay area, and my car is back in fresn0, so those are the days i have off to go get it. maybe ill take some pics then.
