CEL help please

I was finishing up my double din install and blew the fuse for the clock, instrument lights etc... While working on it I had it on a trickle charged, Key was on but engine wasn't running and I didn't want to kill the battery

When I started the car I got a p0219 code. I ran the code scanner, and deleted the code. I drove the car for about an hour and the code hash;t returned. Nothing abnormal, no hesitation, knocking, misfire, etc..

Should I be worried/check anything or just assume it was a computer fluke...

Thats odd. a P0219 is an engine overspeed code, aka the car was over-revved.

How exactly did you blow that fuse? The clock fuse is #13 on the passenger side fuse panel, the same one that the will reset the ECU if pulled.

I'm not sure, I think it was a coincidence or matter of timing. mid project I noticed the clock off and ignored it until I turned the car on and no dash lights. I drove 30 mins to work this morning, I revved it up a little but mostly civil driving and no problem

Sounds like a common problem to me. Alot of times the radio illumination wire is wired improperly or simply disregarded. Almost all aftermarket radio do not adjust with the dash illumination using the dimmer switch. Because of this, it often becomes shorted thus blowing the fuse repeatedly. And if left just dangling behind the radio and not wrapped properly, it will intermittently short as well.

And as for the P0219, shift that mofo BEFORE redline and/or fuel cutout occurs! :-)
