ceiling near rear windshield
ceiling near rear windshield
Ever looked at your ceiling where it connects with the rear window? it has some kind of tape or something, bottom line mine is getting dried up ( the tape) and it is not tightly connected to the ceiling..... could be a source of my rattles.... ( i pushed it slightly up and it clicked -- similar to the noise and place I hear rattles while driving).
Any ideas how to tighten it up? I could put some glue, but that would glue it permantly so if I ever need a repair they wan't be able to take it off
What about double sided tape or something, or even better let the dealership warry ( they can say it looks normal).

Anyway, I've talked with Acura and told them they need to come up with a factory fix for this problem, cause it's a poor design that keeps failing, even after replacement headliners.
I'm going to keep an eye on my new CLS.
Please note, the problem will show up after some warm weather.

My CLS 2001 had the same problem. Only it never got fixed by the dealer(s). They tried glue, clips, etc... and replaced three head liners. After 2 1/2 year I traded mine in for a CLS 6sp. But just before handing it over to the dealer, I could hear the ticking/clicking sound from the damn head liner/rear window.
