Hi all,
I just got a 2001 CL-S that has issue with the 6 CD in dash changer. It works fine with radio but I can't load CD to the empty in dash 6 CD changer. Everytime when I press "Load" button, it shows ERR-1 on display then nothing happen.

Please let me know if you have any idea.

It sounds like the CD player is giving out, it happens to mine all the time. You just gotta mess with it, it'll work eventually. Get a new system

 

Had that happen on my old 02. Had to replace the HU. Ebay & the black market here has a few for sale. Make sure you get one that has the radio code.
Or you can go aftermarket.

 

make sure a cd isnt stuck in there either....other than that....yea what ^^ said.

 

Mine has done this a few times too, mostly when I'm listening to the radio (rarely)and then switch back to CD I get the errors and the CDs won't play. Next time it happens I guess I'll try to get to the dealer to show them.
I just keep switching it on and off etc and it works fine again.

 

try disconnecting the battery and then type the security code back in. try it again. other than that yeah have it checked out or replace it with something else.
