The last few cars that I have owned seem to respond pretty well to a container of Castrol Syntec every 5000 miles or so. This seems to clean the injectors and ensure that the car runs smoothly. I only buy Amoco Gold Premium gas for my Acura CL-S. Does anyone have any thoughts on such an additive?

By the way, I feel your pain and lack of patience with aftermarket performance products. But I know they are coming!

 

First, TELL us what do you know about FUTURE performance parts....

Second, as stated in the manual, any additives to the fuel or oil just a waste of money.

I guess it couldn't hurt, but all gas is the same at the same octane rating. Gas is federally mandated as to what the ingredients are. However, as the TV news magazines have shown us when the feds aren't looking there is no telling what the merchant puts in the gas AFTER it has left the refinery.

 

Sorry if I built up your hopes. I was speaking from a purely philosophical sense.

I would like to add a CAI, but will wait for something a little more solid that has the bugs worked out.
