Carseat???
Has anyone attempted to but a childs carseat in their CL? How tough is it to get the kid in/out? I'm trying to decide whether a CL is still the viable option that I thought it would be (instead of a TL). The only deal is that I know I'll have kids before I get my next car after my purchase coming up this year, so I need to make sure that I a good decision. I'm seriously looking at the TL-S, but the darn front seats don't look the same as the CL-S at all... (atleast on the bottom they don't), and I loved the CL-S seats, I don't think the TL-S will have as much of a "bucket" style as the CL-S has.....
Anyone that owns a CL-S sat in the TL-S, or tried a carseat in the CL-S?

Are you talking about a newborn? i.e. you don't have kids yet. By your comments, I think you are worried about the parent reaching in and getting the child, not the child who can buckle/unbuckle them self. True?
How strong in your back? Reaching into the back to unlock the infant seat would be a bitch. How tall are you? Not much headroom to do this.

I'm tall.... It would be a newboarn as I don't have kids yet, but it's defidently in the future (it'll be a little longer, but defidently no more than 3 years before there are little people). I'm thinking that reaching it would be a pain, not to mention that the rear seat is pretty far back there no matter how you squirm in there. The power forward seat would make it easier, but I have a feeling that it would lead to a LOT of frustration. I've had enough frustration for one lifetime.

It isn't too bad, as the front seat goes forward quite a bit, and the door is pretty wide. My Daughter didn't have any problems with her 7 month old (for about a week of use).

I may just borrow one in the next few months and try it out myself. My sister and her husband have a little boy that's 7 months old, so I could see how tough it is, and have them do it too.... I have a feeling I'm gonna get a TL-S, plus the sunroof would open more.

So, VTEC Animal, have you tried it? I have the same issue -- I have a kid on the way (due in July), and I can't decide whether to get the CL-S, or wait for the TL-S. I really like the coupe better, so if I can realtively easily get the seat and the child in and out of the back seat, that'd make the decision for me. Let me know!

getting the child in and out is fairly easy. Getting the seat in and out is with some difficulty..

I think the CLS has carseat clips right under the speakers that fold out
if they make it like that i dont think its bad to put a child in the rear.....

I think the powered forward movement of the seats would make getting into the back easier to get the kid in a carseat...
What I don't know about is the placement/installation of the carseat. That might be a PITA.

You're going to end up getting a minivan...or a volvo...either way...you'll have to drive in the slow lane and watch us guys in the CL-S pass you by...and you'll look longingly at us...thinking "damn kids!!"
