I ordered the upper strut bar about a month ago. They said July 27th was th edelivery date. So I went ahead and cancelled the order. I even called to confirm the cancellation. I got confirmation that the order was cancelled via email. I come home today and the strut bar is sitting by my front door. I hope they're so screwed up that they don't charge my card for it!
well, i was thinking about it. i decided to install it...took a whole 5 minutes...maybe less. i'm glad i installed it. now if i can only find a way to keep my bony ass from sliding everywhere when i get on those freeway ramps!

You can call carparts.com and tell them you want to make sure they cancelled the charge. Just don't tell them you got anything.

i received my bar a couple weeks ago about a day later than the estimated ship date.
it didn't post on my credit card for like 2 weeks. hearing about all these problems, i probably wouldn't have been charged, but being the honest person that i am i called them. turned out the order was still open because they didn't ship it yet.
so i told htem i received it and to charge my card. i would feel guilty if i didn't.

Call your charge card company up and check for any "pre-authorizations" -- this will let you see if they have setup to charge you or have actually charged you.
If you used AMEX, you can call them right now, and complain (worked for me). They will reverse the charge. If you are talking about Visa or MCard, you may have to fill out some paperwork (if things get really messed-up).
Carparts.com biggest problem (as I can determine) is that they don't have a clue... The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
Hmmm... you’ve reminded me to call Amex again and see if they are going to try charging my card...
Carparts.com -- just say no...
what the hell, I have been waiting for mine for more than a month, have not heard anything from them yet, I called them and they told me it should take 2 more weeks from a 2 weeks ago, and stil dont have shit

Someone I know got a free pair of PIAA 1200s from carparts.com. He ordered a pair, then tried to change his shipping from standard ground to 2 day. They were idiots and jerks on the phone, put him on hold (long distance). He ended up with two pairs, only charged for one set.
If they try to charge you for the brace, claim you never received it, it must have been stolen off your door step.

I just checked my CC balance no charge yet. They told me they will charge me as soon as they ship it.
I think im going to cancel this thing, I dont want it anymore. Maybe they will ship it anyways after I cancel.

A little word of advice.....
Tim/Snook checks our forum constantly. Add to the fact that he would surely browse any thread with "autocarparts.com" in it and those who brag about getting away with it suddenly reminded Tim it's time to check the books.
I would delete the thread if I were you.
