Carmax....good?

I found a '01 Type-S, Gold, 13K miles for $23K on Carmax. Is that a good deal?

What is Acura gonna do in '04 for the CL's? It seems like Honda is stepping up the Accord in a big way. Totally redesigned with 240hp for the EX V6...and the S-type is 260? It seems weird that Acura S-type's would stay at 260 while the regular CL and TL's are being over powered by the Accord by 15hp. Eventhough I'm in the market for a CL 3.2, I'm sort of hesitant on purchasing one if Acura is gonna unvail something new in 2004.

And if they are planning on unvailing something totally new in 2004, they should do it fairly quickly. Nissan and Infiniti has caught my eye with their new 350Z and Q35 coupe. I'm an Acura guy and I never cared much for Nissan, but the new Z and Q35C are sweet! A 3.5, more power and performance for about the same price, if not less?! I wanna stay Acura, but the dark side is strong..........

The rumor is that the CL is going to get the axe, but the TL is getting a redesign for 2004.

It is seeming more and more like the CL will get canned...I haven't even heard any rumors about it at all...unlike the TL which seems to have a lot more speculative talk. Oh well. They killed the Prelude 4 years after I bought mine too...sorry guys! Maybe it is me!

If that is exactly the year/car/color you want Carmax is hard to beat.

If not, print the Carmax add, visit some Acura dealer's used lots.

Buying used, someone else has taken most of the depreciation. I would not worry about what Acura/Honda is doing.

You won't touch a Z 350 or G35C anywhere near 23k.

Are you sure you really want the CL in gold? I guess is just a matter of opinion.

I thought the gold/orange was Acura's signature color, limited color...or something special like that?
