Carbon fiber ice box? No, just a heat shield.
I started out with the idea of making an ice box, but after looking at my time restraints, I settled on a carbon fiber heat shield for now. I will do an ice box in the future. What do you think?

I think it turned out just OK - I would like to build an entire ice box, like I was saying before, but after looking at the dimensions and everything, it just seems like too much work. I'm still trying to figure out a way to have a full carbon fiber box...

Yeah, I sped the process. I know that. lol The top is actually flush with the height of the fender's lip.
I ordered more Carbon Fiber yesterday, but I'm thinking I'm better off making a mold of the factory air box and extending the dimensions to fit another size/style air filter and then lay the carbon fiber to the new specs. This would allow me to run a Lid/Base setup that will seal around the piping and cause all of the air to come from the behind the bumper rather than just the majority. I'm ordering the Outlaw Engineering manifold spacer as well as P2R's TB spacer (I like it more than the one that comes with Outlaw's setup) and should start seeing a reduction in intake air temperatures. That is my overall goal for this entire process. I just wanted to add some REAL carbon fiber for a little added touch & style.
I have noticed that the intake is much quieter now. That's a plus in my book.
