k my trannys on its way out. I got no third gear and the cars been sitting in my garage for 3 days. so i started it up so it could warm and then i was gonna shut it off. But i noticed a whining noise, so i drove it in 1st up and down the street and it didn't go away.

Is this my tq converter crying for help or what?
Does the tq converter rotate with the engine like a flywheel does? (sorry if I sound stupid for asking) Cause then that's pretty obvious, noise is from spinning of the tq converter.

It better be the damn tranny.

This motor has been running mint. I cannot for the life of me think of it going now of all times, especially since it was running PERFECT right before I parked it. NOT THE TRANNY the motor. The tranny is doneZO.

I just need to know for certain that this new noise is from the about-to-die tranny. which is getting fixed anyways.

 

yeah it's most likely the trans

Is this your first transmission? If so, you should be getting updated transmission. How many this transmission lasted?

 

this is my original transmission and has the jet kit and is getting fully rebuilt.

With transtar tq converter, new clutch packs and comptech trans cooler. All for 1700 CASH

 

only 59000miles on this trans. but it was in stop and go traffic its whole life downtown Toronto. SO it's whole life it was going 1st, 2nd, 3rd, STOP... and repeat. SO looking back no wonder it's fucked

 

Its the trnas. My tl did the same thing when it was on its way out. 2years on a month or so and still not fixed
