After I registed my car I was told that I should have my car inspected at the gas station within ten days.

I asked my dealer about that. He told me that he will reimburse me the cost of that. As I know that is around $30. But some friend of mine who has a honda accord told me that in general honda will give you life time free inspection. Is that ture for Acura? Thanks a lot.

Why would you need to have an inspection on a new car? I assume if it true that Honda provide free lifetime inspections that this would also include Acura.

New York State requires inspection for new cars. My dealer inspected my 2001 CLS and charged me $ 10.00. That inspection is good for one year.
Silver CLS on LI.

heh heh, me too I got ticket $42 for failing to inspect a new brand CLS. Stupid dealer did not tell me that I need to inspect a new car!!!

The shit about this ticket it is a criminal offense! Stupid Law, IMHO.

I ended not paying the ticket, the prosecutor dropped the charge if I would stay out of traffic law violotions for 90 days

Here in florida, we USED to have to have the cars inspected the Month of your Birthday, But the finally realized that it was a big waist of money/time and did away with it.

they did away with emissions testing here a few years ago (thanks ventura!!!) -- too bad all the ricers are just that much louder since they all run straight pipes now ... grrrr....

My 90 Integra didn't pass the test one year when I pulled into the emission test center near 169 and 394. I couldn't believe it, they were going to deny me a tab when I saw other older cars on the road blowing blue and green smoke, sporting fresh tabs. I already had to pay north of $200 for tabs.

It must have been a fluke because it easily passed on the second round. What a waste. Hooray to Jesse (I didn't vote for him.... but he's great anyway).

Florida SUCKS!!! They need emissions testing with all the jacked up old trucks blowing clouds of smoke at you and your car. You cant even breath following some of the vehicles around here. The testing in NJ was a pain but its better than all the POS running around here.
