Car got jacked
They jacked my sister's damn 2000 Blue Civic Si tuesday from a wide open parking lot, visible from several surrounding streets and office buildings. Sure took some balls. Good part is they found it the next day. Bad part, the bumpers, dash, and battery were gone. They had swapped out the wheels for some shit wheels, so they could dump it. They even took the damn battery. There might even be some other parts missing from under the hood. Dammit, this sucks. Shop said they might have to strip it further to make a full estimate. Hope they get it back to the way we had it before.
If I get my hands on them, I'm gonna be like :flamer: (thief)

i heard of a similar story on 740AM the other day that was too funny(not that im laughing at your situation cause im not). but there were two men trying to jack a car(probably a spontaneous reaction) and decided the best plan of action was to sneak up along side it, one on the right and the other on the left, and jump out and scare the guy for his money and his ride. well, what ever happened next must've been the most idiotic thing to happen in human history cause rather than hitting the driver, one of the suspects got hit in the leg!!!

my brothers 98 civic ex was stolen and found within a couple hours. the damage was similar to your sisters, but in cases like this its almost better if they don't find the car because you get inusrance $$ to buy a new one. my bro has a $1000 deductible, and his damage was just under $1000, so he got jack shit from insurance. he wished that the cops did not find the car.

yah, I'm glad they didn't take the engine. From what I hear, WA has started tracking SNs on stolen engines, so it's too risky for them to take it. It's not a bad deal for us, insurance-wise that is. There's too much still owed on the car for us to benefit from it being "totalled" and our deductable is pretty low. So we're glad we got it back.
