car covered in "mystery liquid"

I came out of the theater this afternoon and I noticed what I thought was water on the car. I'm in a parking garage but I thought maybe it rained since I was parked facing the outside. Wrong! I started driving down the road and it wasn't moving or evaporating. I stuck my hand out the window and it was really sticky and clear. My office was only a few miles away so I went there and got the hose out and sprayed it down. The stuff washed off, but I wonder what it was. Anywho, there was a first gen. CL beside me and they had it also.

You ever hear the expression "the urban jungle"??

Are there any pipes over where you were parked in the garage. I remember that some pipe leaked crap like this all over my car a while back.

Could be, it was on the car next to mine also. I'm glad I had a fresh coat of wax on because it came off fairly easy with the garden hose/index finger spray technique.
