car chip OBDII

hey, i dunno-- this may be old news.. i did a search
and i didnt see anything about it

http://www.techtv.com/news/products/...410327,00.html

http://www.davisnet.com/drive/products/carchip.asp

i have seen the connectors that connect your laptop to your LAPTOP-- but many people don't have that luxury of a laptop.. this is for you
you plug it into your OBDII connector.. on the first gen CL i believe it is behind the ash tray...
and then it logs all sorts of information-- it can diagnostic problems.. etc..
because of the very cheap memory now-a-days.. they can log all the information onto this thing.. and then you take it back to your computer at home-- and it analyzes the info

all that and it might even be old news

i think its a great product-- i mean.. paying some guy at a gas station to tell you "uhh.. we think this is the problem.. but uh.. we're not sure-- you could pay its $500 to do that.. but we dont know if that would work..."
it just doesnt make sense--
i like how affordable it is too
