Can someone please list the advantages of the AEM pulleys?

I'm highly considering getting them, although I've heard 2 negatives.

1) it takes away from sound system power.

2) major problems with the accords that had them and the alternators.

thanks!

Personally I don't think pulleys are worth the $$. Very little hp gained.

Over at SuperHonda.org there has been a number of reports of dead batteries from the pulley. Check out the link for some info fellow V6ers have posted about the pulleys.

You get about 2 HP (or more ??) , but if you have an de-bosed system (in your CLS) and some big power amps that you like to play loud while sitting in city traffic, you might want to think about it.

BTW -- the "averaged" dyno curves produced/distributed via AEM always look better than the "real world" dynos here (yes, just my opinion).

BNut gained like 10 peak hp and 11 lb/ft of peak torque on a dyno with pulleys on his 4dr Accord V6.

It sure looks like CL/CLS users will NOT be that lucky...

(And remember the AEM graphs are not WinPep graphs -- but an aggregate of a bunch of runs and generally (IMO) look better than "actual" "real world" tests.)

I like mine and have seen no power problems. The engine does rev faster and I feel like my off the line performance has improved slightly, Besides I justg like buying my Cls presents, she's deserves it!

I have heard that the Tru-Power pulleys can make our headlights dimmer, is this true?

You will definitely FEEL more off the line power. Also the revs seem to increase quicker as well.

For me the low end boost was the most noticable though.

For the money they are a damn good upgrade compared to exhaust or headers!
