Can someone explain this?
Can someone explain this?
I've been wondering about this for sometime now.... but Check this out...I had a minor accident in January, where a '01 TL hit me deadon in a parking lot (it was her fault and all she had was liability insurance!)Anyways, the accident took some paint off my bumper, no other damage...I got it repainted and within the next few weeks I started getting mad chips on my bumper...I bitched and moaned and they repainted my bumper (btw, the color match is unbelievable). I dont know wtf they did the second time, but my bumper has absolutely NO chips since then....and it's now almost September! Is this some super 3M paint? Or do you guys think they put extra layers on my car? I would ask them myself...but they hate me so much for wining and bickering with them.

Could have just forgotting to put plenty of coats of clear coat on. Or maybe they just put more when you brought it back so they wouldn't have to deal with you. Either way, whatever worked
Ohhell yeah...I'm really happy with them...after the second time...
I guess it pays to complain! You get what you complain for! hehheh

The shop probably didn't use flex paint the first time. A shop painted the rear bumper on my Maxima and it started peeling at the exhaust section and chipping on other areas. I complained and they repainted it with the flex paint. The said the 'new guy' didn't know which paint to use.
