I am running the 5auto.Last week I thought there was going to be a problem starting with it,but I guess it was a fluke slip or something.I've sprayed it about 8 times so far only holding it for a few seconds.Like from first to 3rd.I also tryied it at passing speed once. The transmission actually feels great as if it shifts quicker with no delay.Brfore the car would grab 2nd about 85-90% of the time. Now it spins atleast 5-10feet in 2nd everytime. It actually feels like I'm driving a decent stock v8 when spraying.I am only using a 65 shot.I will be uping the shot next time I fill the bottle some where between 80-100.I dont want to go over a 100 cuz I dont want to prematurly kill my engine.

arent you doing that anyway just by having the spray in the first place?

probally a little extra wear with the 65 shot.I would not say much at all. With the 65shot my feeling is I could use it for quite awhile before killing the engine since I do maintain the engine pretty well. But going over a hundred you should use a hi flow fuel pump so you dont max out your pump and run to lean, witch is bad and also I do not have at the time.
Also going over a 100 shot you should retard the timing atleast 4 dergress and more.Witch you need some kind of computer management/piggy back controler that I also do not have.I think I'm totally safe at 65.There will be more go fast parts going on soon.

On another note,I've been looking to changing the final gear and some way to increase the rev limiter. I have'nt had any luck finding anything for either of these.Anyone have any idea's ?

the only way to change the final gear ratio is to put in a new gear in the trans. to raise the speed limiter, u would need to reflash the ecu.

if u know what ur doing with nitrous, it doesnt cause any more damage than a turboed or sc car. u just have to be careful on what ur doing

never heard anyone reflash the ecu on a cl/tl. but thats the only way. its been done on other cars.

or

u can take out the speed sensor/ rev sensor on the trans, but then u wont know how fast ur going or what will it actually do to the car.

Pulling sensors really dont sound like the best idea,Unless someone has really accomplished it with no alternative problems.
I will be asking around about the reflashing the ecu.
What about a ecu from a type s auto.I know I compared them before and all plugs seem to match up,but I was talked out of trying it.What do you think about that.

yes, never thought about it that way. so reflash is the only option and no one has done it. but where are u going to be going 150mph constantly or higher?

Not sure if we are on the same page.First, you know I have a clp?
Now ,I know type s's rev higher before hitting the rev limiter. So my question is, do you think its possible for me to use a type s ecu and I would gain the extra rpm's before hitting the limiter? I'm almost certin they have matching harness plug inputs.

wouldnt matter. i was in 4th gear a few hundred rpm before i hit the rev limiter. instead i hit the top speed and it cut the fuel. also the type s ecu wouldnt work properly, the engines are a bit different and the sensors wouldnt match up.

plus, all that for only, what, 200rpm or so

Hondata has said theres no plans on doing anything for the J series and there probally are best chance. There has to be a some one that can reprogram our ecu.Maybe Bill Gates team of computer masters.

There are two shops working on a reflash, and one supposedly has successfully completed it.

I spoke with Hondata as well, and they are being thick headed with this. They dont realize the amount of J swaps that are being started and how many people need some sort of management.

AEM realized this and they will be offering their EMS in the next few months. Its based off of the S2000 program, but they had to wait to do it because they were about to push Version 2 for the S2000s, and thats what they are going to use for the Js. They are planning on making it PnP, and they have already tested it in a J32 swapped 7th gen Accord. Expect to pay ~$1300 for it when it does finally come out.

Is this going to be a custom tuneable ems with differnt levels for each cl needs or is it going to be one set ems. After reading a little today the 03 cls 6 would have to be differnt than just 01-03 cl's right. If I sound like a idiot in anyway excuse me.I'm just trying to learn how bringing my car into the next level.

What is good bottle pressure with no bottle heater? The last time I looked at the gauge it said 900psi after spraying it about 12 times for about 3-5 seconds each time.I never looked at what the pressure was when I first got it filled.

i keep my bottle pressure between 900-1100. thats the sweet spot, if u go lower ur not getting the full potential of the spray and just wasting nitrous.

Np. Don't forget to purge the lines when ur dons spraying. I haven't heard of any other cl's that are on spray. I know that their is a tl on 125wet shot that messed up his exhaust or intake valves bc he was misfiring and still didn't stop spraying. His fault.

To purge our setup with no purge, you just shut off the bottle and activate it right?

Parker, why don't you look buying a CL-S engine and stroking it. Or a 6speed swap. You have a CL-P so you're already lacking power, plus it's an auto and there are tranny issues. Just seems a bit pointless to me. If you want to make serious power, then do the 3.5 conversion and put type S heads on it.
